Here it is, my friends, the giveaway you've all been waiting for! In honor of International Crochet Day on Saturday, Sept. 12, I will give away one of my new Shelly Caps*. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite yarn or fiber (or e-mail likeclochework@gmail.com). It's that simple! At midnight on Sept. 12 I will put all the names into a hat and my extraordinarily talented husband will draw a name from said hat. Winner will be announced on Sunday, Sept. 13. Let the games begin!
*I choose the color, you choose the size.

I absolutely love wool...just plain old Cascade 220 or Patons Classic Merino...I love the way it feels, the way it smells, the way it works up...nothing better!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the Patons SWS looks & feels, I usually make toy animals with it and they get petted a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran it as lovely snuggly softness but still keeps stitch definition - and it comes in the lovleiest colours!
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for cashmere. It's so luxurious (and expensive) but oh so soft and snuggly!! Too bad I don't really ever get to knit with it!!
ReplyDeleteYour hats are so very lovely! I recently fell in love with Malabrigo, especially the worsted weight. It has such wonderful thick-thin variation and gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteOooo Nice!!
ReplyDeleteI really dig on alpaca. Mmmmm. Of course I can't wait to get my hands on some MVFF Cormo/Mohair blend.
Oooh, pick me! Your hats are so beautiful. My favorite yarn is alpaca, wool makes me itch but I can wear alpaca. Happy International Crochet Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm a highly addicted yarn freak, wool, llama, alpaca, silk, cashmere, cotton, or any blend of all of the above....I'm touchy feely in a yarn store, husband just stands there with check in hand, because he knows he is going to have to rearrange his budget everytime we walk into a yarn store.....but secretly he is just as much a yarn freak as I am. Love the hat.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had much of a chance to try many yarns; I live in such a small place and don't often make it to the city for a hands-on look and touch shopping excursion. I usually end up with good old Red Heart supersaver, which is fine but do love the colors in the cottons, as well.
